- How do I get paid?
- Direct deposit to your linked bank account. Link your bank once during account setup; Lingfaro transfers your earnings on a regular biweekly cycle (every other Friday) after sessions are confirmed. No invoicing, no chasing, no net-45 waits.
- How are rates set, and what is Lingfaro's fee?
- Rates per modality, language, and specialty come from a published rate card. The rate is shown with every offer, before you accept. Lingfaro takes a transparent platform fee on each completed session; what you see on the offer is what you receive.
- Can I refuse offers I don't want?
- Yes. Decline freely. There is no penalty for declining, no informal scoring against you, and no consequences for not responding before an offer expires. Dispatch routes to the next interpreter. Your availability is yours to set.
- How long does credential verification take?
- We aim to review credentialing applications within one business day for most certifications: CMI (from NBCMI), CHI or CoreCHI (from CCHI), RID, BEI, MDH Spoken Language Health Care Interpreter Roster, Statewide Roster of Court Interpreters. If we need to verify directly with an issuing body, we'll let you know within the same window. You won't receive offers until verification is complete.
- How does the daily cap work?
- You set a daily cap in your profile. Lingfaro stops sending you new offers once you hit the cap for the day, calculated in your local timezone. You can change the cap at any time. Your time is yours to protect.
- What kind of assignments will I get?
- On-site, in-person assignments across Minnesota. Configure your languages, specialties, and service area in your profile; only offers matching your settings reach you.
- Will working with Lingfaro affect my status with the MDH or State Court rosters?
- No. Lingfaro dispatches roster-eligible interpreters for roster-required work, but does not own or replace your roster status. You maintain those listings directly with MDH and the Minnesota Judicial Branch. Lingfaro doesn't replace roster status; it complements it.
- Will Lingfaro provide a 1099?
- Yes. Lingfaro provides your 1099-NEC at year-end and makes it available in your account.
